3 PAX (Floyd, Cooter, and Cardiac) were foolish enough to join YHC for EC. We did 1/4 mile repeats with 10 burpees after each 1/4 mile. We ran a total of 1.5 miles. Quick math question, how many burpees did we complete?
YHC had to take a quick pit stop to the bathroom, but still got the workout started by 0530.
Warm-Up:
- SSH x20 IC

All total 77 reps for 1977 debut of Star Wars
The Thang:
After paying homage to the original it was time to salute the 1980 classic, The Empire Strikes Back, the film most critics will say is the best of the Star Wars movie. The movie that brought you great dialogue like:
“I”d rather kiss a wookie”
“I can arrange that. He could use a good kiss”
This is also the movie where Luke begins his Jedi training.
- Yoda Carries – partner carry to midfield. 10 partner squats. Switch roles and do the same to the endline. Do the same coming back to the start.
- BTTW – Luke did one armed handstands, but we will just put our nuts against the fence for an extended amount of time. Eventually had the PAX each give a 5 count.
- Luke left his jedi training unfinished and rushed off to save Han and Leia in his X-Wing. The PAX ran three different X-wings.
- Sprint diagonals always
- 1st: bear crawl short sides and 5 burpees at each corner
- 2nd: lunge walk short sides and 5 hand release merkins at each corner
- 3rd: traveling burpees short sides and 10 tuck jumps at each corner
Quote of the day comes to you via Floyd and YHC while totally wiped out by traveling burpees:
Floyd: “What do you think the dropout rate for Jedi is?”
YHC: “100%. Luke quit”
Mosey to the playground for some Return of the Jedi
- 1 minute dead hangs followed by 15 cadence count dips. 3 sets of this
Mary
- Apple Pickers – pretend you are trying to summon your lightsaber before the snow monster eats you.
- V-ups – mimics an Ewok trying to get up (maybe).
COT:
- Carpex convergence on Saturday.
