Site Q Fieri reached out several weeks about doing a series of Gambling Workouts at The Wall, with each workout featuring a Mystery Q. I decided to try and create an F3 version of the casino classic craps game.
Warm Up
- SSH
- OH/Seal Clap Combo
- Mountain Climbers
- Pax Choice
Main Event
Pax are instructed to place their bets: those betting the Pass Line on one side of the parking lot, those betting the Don’t Pass on the other.
A Shooter is selected, moves to the center, and assumes plank position. All bettors commence various exercises (list below).
Shooter throws the dice. If “come-out” throw is 2, 3, or 12, then it’s Craps and Don’t Pass bettors move to plank recovery, and Pass bettors get penalty burpees.
If “come-out” throw is 7 or 11, then it’s a “Natural”, and Pass bettors move to plank recovery, and Don’t Pass bettors get penalty burpees.
If “come-out” throw is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then the number becomes the established “point”. Shooter (still in plank) continues rolling until he either (i) Craps out by rolling a 7, at which point Don’t Pass bettors move to plank recovery and Pass bettors get penalty burpees, or (ii) hits the point [sum of the dice equals the “point”], at which point Pass bettors move to plank recovery and Don’t Pass bettors get penalty burpees.
If 2, 3, 11, or 12 are rolled after the point is established,
all bets are pushed (i.e., no one wins, which is just another way of saying
everyone loses), so everyone gets penalty burpees.

Much thanks to the men for putting up with my attempts at creativity. Wasn’t the smoothest of workouts, and there were certainly a lot of burpees, but maybe there’s something there; perhaps we can get it dialed in for The Gambler III!
I’ve had a really rough time at work recently. Reached out to a mentor (who is an F3 regular in Carpex). He said think of it like a tough workout – you may doubt yourself at some point & you may be hurting, but push through it. You can and you must. You will emerge stronger on the other side. Aye!
Moleskin. Mumblechatter was solid this a.m. Blue hairs, slot machines, and creamed corn…
