I been attending the Vortex occasionally and thankfully Nightshift encouraged me to lead. So he signed me up! Well the day had come for me to jump out of my comfort zone and lead. I had just Q’d the Rock the day before so I was ready. My wife’s cancer has shrunk 8% since she started an investigational drug mid September. In honor of the 8% reduction we I threw in reps of 24, 16 and 8 for some of the exercises. Here’s what went down:
WARM-UP:
24 SSH, 10 WMH, 10 Good Mornings, 8 Finkle swings, 10 Arm Circles, 10 slow Merkins, 8 mountain climbers
THE THANG:
PAX circled up and I played Flower by Moby; bring Sally upo, bring Sally down where up was a plank and down was the low plank resulting in quite a few merkins. Next we ran to the halfway mark of the field and did burpees for the Route 66. Next was a ring of fire plank hold with a 10 count then followed by 8 Absolutions which test counting and coordination. Usain Bolt was the final set where we did LBC’s, absolutions, burpee with a two merkins, man makers, bird dogs, dry docks, and flutter kicks. I may have forgotten a couple exercises so forgive me if I didn’t list your particular exercise.,
Mary:
8 sea turtles, super man hold ring of fire with 8 count, more sea turtles x 8, 8 hello dolly’s, 8 heels to heaven, boat canoes.
COT:
Praise report from my wife’s good news. It was an honor to lead the PAX of the Vortex today. Thanks for welcoming me; everyone pushed each other! Aye!
