Burpees and Monkey Humpers

WHEN: 06/02/2017

PAX: Kia, Amphibious, Bushwood, Shovel, Striker, 2 Ply, Brick, Sawyer, Draper, Assisi, Cooter, Peach, Tuco, Juco, Footfault, Chubbs, Screech

YHC was a little tired this morning. Not a lot of sleep after an encounter with snake #2 last night. If someone is playing a joke on me, it is not funny. There were a handful for EC of which I was not. Anyway, 17 PAX were off for a long run to the parking lot. There we started with a warmup of:
SSH x 20
MH x 10
WMH x 10
Squats x 10
Merkins x 10
MC x 10
BAC x 10
The thang was pretty simple. Run to top of the circle, 10 monkey humpers, run back down for 10 burpees. We always did 10 monkee humpers at the top but the burpees decreased by one until we finished. Ten trips up and back down. The group then started the long way back, stopped for dips and derkins, backwards run the straightaway, more dips and urkins, and ran the rest of the way back. Mary was:
lbc X 20
boxcutters x 20
Freddy mercury x 20
ring of fire for a 5 count around
As the saying goes, if you can”t do it, don”t Q it. We had to stop because I couldn”t take it anymore. Luckily it was 6:14. There was a lot of good discussion about ways to improve our AO. Trash pickup, weeds, spreading the pile of mulch that looks like it has been there for years, adding pullup bars to name a few. YHC will communicate with the school to see if they have some recommendations as well and we will start next week with some basic cleanup. It was a great morning to be out with this group. Welcome again to Brick being back in the midst and his and Screech”s engagement. Kia took us out in inspiring form. Be safe this weekend. Make sure you all capture a snake.
