WeedNFeed taught us a little thing called the flapjack a while back, described in The Exicon as bear crawl to a halfway point and then flip over to a crab walk the rest of the way. Been meaning for a while to play with variations on that at Tobacco Road, so that’s what we did. Floyd and YHC got in a little rucking beforehand. Standard warm up, then…

Mosey to field
-Round 1: 5 burpees – Bearcrawl to midfield then switch to crab walk (or duck walk) to far end, then complete 5 more burpees – Called an audible for the trip back to give a breather: run back to midfield, then switch to backward run and complete 10 burpees at the end.
-Round 2: 10 merkins, then broad jump to half field, 10 more merkins, switch to bunny hop – 10 merkins
For return trip, 10 merkins, reverse Lunge walk to midfield, 10 merkins, switch to regular lunge walk – 10 merkins
-Round 3: 15 jump squats – traveling burpee to midfield – 15 jump squats – switch to skip – 15 jump squats
Return trip – Army crawl to half field, switch to duck walk – plank hold when done
-Bonus Round: Skipped these modes of travel in round 1, so wanted to squeeze them in. 5 merkins, Crawl bear to top of the 18yd box, 5 merkins, switch to walk crab (legs in front), 5 merkins
-Final Round (and Mary): 20 WWII – Sprint length of field – 20 WWII – backwards run length of field – 40 WWII
Just enough time for 5 merkin line of fire before quittin’ time.

Glad to have One Direction’s FIL The Noid (great name) back out with us. Hoping one day he’ll be a mustard seed up in his hometown in Pennsylvania and continue F3’s national expansion.
