YHC was really focused on his Q this morning.  So focused that he went into autopilot and forgot to turn down Hope Valley Rd. After a short detour, YHC finally rolled into Forest Hills Park a few minutes late.  I can only imagine the panic that was going through the PAX at 0530 as they all realized that one of them may have to Q on the fly because of a fartsack. Alas, YHC did not pull a Doogie, should be the lexicon term for it, and got the party started.

 

Warm-Up:

  • 10 penalty burpees to everyone because the Q was late.
  • SSH
  • Willie Mays Hayes
  • Reverse Lunges
  • LBAC
  • 10 penalty burpees because Knope was late.
  • Burpkins – merkins and burps combined.

 

The Thang:

YHC lead the PAX over to the tennis courts for some beastly movements.

  1. Bear crawl the length of the tennis courts, completing 10 merkins at the end of each court.
  2. Gorilla crawl the length of the tennis courts, completing 10 jump squats at the end of each court.  Even Weenie Roast was feeling it.
  3. Crab walk w/ 10 WWIIs
  4. Frog Jump w/ 10 burps.  Another lower body blitz.

 

Quick mosey over to the covered pavilion.  PAX were ordered to pair off for a series of partner exercises with someone near their weight.

  • Partner Cliffhangers – One partner holds the other partner’s feet as they alternate doing merkins on the bench and top of the picnic table. Flapjack.
  • Partner Squats –  Partners lock arms behind them and do some synchronized squats.  Some pairs looked great doing this, Kia and YHC had some issues. Didn’t help that there was a height and weight difference for the two of us.
  • Partner leg raises

Taking a break from our partners we did 15 dips in cadence followed by 15 derkins.  Then 10 dips in cadence followed by 10 derkins.

 

With time ticking down we made our way to the playground.  One partner would hang from the monkey bars for as long as possible.  The other partner would do box jumps until their partner couldn’t hang on any longer.  When the first partner was finished, both partners did 10 burpees. Flapjack. Your winners today were Sweater Vest and Toolbox (thought you were worn out from the GoRuck Heavy)
