All the Way*

August 5, 2019

WHEN: 08/05/2019
QIC: Cosmo
PAX: Castaway, FOGO, Avalanche, Goodyear, Pikachu, Botched, Barksdale [RESPECT], Pedialyte, Ocho, Gaucho [DR from Houston], Prancing Horse

Several weeks back, YHC was watching The War on Netflix (highly recommend) and something prompted me to Google the 82nd Airborne. Then happened to notice that the 82nd was constituted on Aug. 5, 1917. As YHC hails from Fayetteville, home to Fort Bragg and the 82nd, thought the anniversary would make a good theme for a Q. That turned out to be accurate! See below for details, but the rep totals were as follows:
102 burpees
82 SSH IC
82 merkins
82 jump squats
41 pull-ups (partner sets completed 82 total)
82 WWII
82 LBC IC

Not a bad morning’s work, hooah?

Hooah!

Castaway joined me for an EC coupon ruck, and Avalanche got in an EC 5K solo.

41 pull-ups each AFAP – PAX worked out reps and spots as needed with their partner – People’s chair when done. T-claps to Gaucho, our man from Houston, for the spot. YHC has been desperately trying to improve in pull-ups but apparently not desperately enough. Yeesh.

Mosey back to start
Time was short, but informed the PAX that we were going to honor every single one of the 82nd’s 102 years, so tacked on 20 burpees OYO before COT.

COT
The Bull Oct. 26.
Botched noted the soft launch of Romper Room was a great success!

YHC took us out with a prayer that we be light in a world that seems full of darkness.

Strong work, men!

*”All the Way” is one of two mottos for the 82nd, the other being “Death from Above,” which admittedly is pretty metal but would have been a bit much for a BB title. After all, we were just doing burpees and stuff, and everyone survived.
