Another brisk fall morning at the Cougar brought out a rather large crowd for another hump day beat down. The warm up started a few Pax short as several EC ruckers were running later and fell in at the end of the 400 meter warm up jog. Turns out this would be a day that would go down in the record book (at least for the time being) for the Cougar with a strong showing of 24 Pax at the main event.
Warm Up
400 meter jog (hands up, high knees and butt kickers mixed in).
SSH x20
WMH x10
Imperial Walkers x10
Arm Circles (forward & reverse) x12
Mountain Climbers x20
The Thang
Since the warm up wasn”t enough to actually warm us up, we got straight to some running to get the blood pumping. 100 meters at 75% then drop to plank, from there standard merkins x11, diamond grip x11 and wide grip x11. Next, 200 meters at 75% effort with x10 burpees and x10 WW2 at the end.
Now that we were properly warmed it was time to venture outside the Cougar venue and visit the streets of Culbreth Ridge. We started with a bear crawl, lunge walk, crawl bear combo until we ended out on Culbreth Rd. From there a rather long duck walk until a nice long fence appeared out of the gloom….legs up on the top bar for x25 derkins. A short slow jog brought us back to the entance of Culbreth Middle School where we sprinted back to the parking lot. After a short 10 count, it was on to the benches for the dip x25, box jump x20, the dip x25, alternating leg step ups x20 and finally the dip x25.
With some time left on the clock, back to the track we went….100 meter sprint with x10 burpees, 200 meter sprint with x10 burpees & x10 squat jumps, and finally 400 meters as fast as you can with x10 burpees, x10 squat jumps & x10 merkins.
Slow recovery jog back to parking lot for…
Mary
LBC, short quick flutter and boat/canoe to finish us off. Plenty of steam coming off every single Pax even thought the air temp was at a crisp 40 degrees.
COT
Keep Zika and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through a difficult time.
Spooky spectacular Qs coming up at Bastille on Friday and Pleasantville on Monday. Then Spooky”s famous haunted house Halloween night…you won”t want to miss it.
Election time, early voting open…go vote or Adolphus will be dolling out penalty burpees on November 9th.
