A House Made of Bricks

August 19, 2018

QIC: Crab Cake
PAX: Blue Indian, Crimson, Justice, Low Tide, Malware, Pebbles, Soda Popinski, Crab Cake

The beauty of F3 is we are constantly discovering areas where we can make improvements.  Recently YHC has realized a lack of cardio fitness.  In an attempt to improve upon this, YHC arrived for the EC along with Justice and Low Tide for a sultry 5k run before the ME.  This idea of constant improvement is the underlying theme for the House of Bricks workout.  Each day there’s an opportunity to lay another brick upon our life’s work.  These bricks represent our loving relationships, good deeds, positive words spoken into someone else, self sacrifice, etc.  YHC is thankful that each morning there is an opportunity for a small victory to be had in the gloom.  These small victories catapult us into the day with the strength to stack more metaphorical bricks.

Warm-Up:

Mountain Climbers, Merkins, Chinooks, Little Baby Arm Circles, Windmills, Burpees (5x OYO)

The Thang:

Activity 1- Each PAX grabs 2 bricks (duh).  Ricky Bobby with your bricks to the parking lot by the old ballpark.  Partner up for a DORA.  While Partner 1 is running to Geer St. and back, Partner 2 completes AMRAP of 50 brick burpees, 100 shoulder raises (w/bricks), and 50 Squat Jumps w/ bricks (reps modified down for time).  Continue until all reps completed by each partnership.

Activity 2- Ricky Bobby with your bricks up to the Liberty Warehouse wall.  The PAX lined up on the wall in a peoples chair position with bricks in hand.  Each PAX took a turn calling out in cadence a combination of 5 curls and 5 shoulder presses all the way down the line while continuing to hold the peoples chair.  YHC was feeling pretty smoked at this point and attempted a fellowship run back to Re-City.  Soda Popinski would have none of it and pushed to pace to an 80% sprint much to the chagrin of several PAX.

Activity 3/Mary – Circle up with a cinder block in the middle.  Each PAX takes a turn in the middle for Colt 45 bicep curls with the cinder block (this is 15 half reps up, 15 half reps down, and 15 whole reps for a total of 45).  The PAX in the middle calls out a Core/Mary exercise for the rest of the group to perform while they complete their Colt 45.

No Announcements.

COT: Pebbles led us out with a strong prayer.
