It was another crisp and clear morning in the Northern Province. The rain had finally stopped and the PAX were out.
YHC decided to switch up our exercises this morning and came up with a routine that avoided counting reps at all costs. Rather than focusing our reps on an arbitrary number, by simply setting a time limit to perform as many reps as each individual could perform, YHC was hoping that the PAX could focus more on form and how their body was feeling. Plus, it saved me from having to count out reps without any breath in my lungs.
Here’s what we did…
Warm up
Side shuffle hops x25 in cadence (only counting all morning, I swear)
Stretching (sun salutation – downward dog – cobra – downward dog – sun salutation)
The Thang
While still in the parking deck the PAX performed…
2-minute People’s chair
2-minute Merkins with alternating should taps
2-minute Prisoner squats
Moseyed to the bottom of the deck and performed…
2-minute Derkins
2-minute Squat jacks
2-minute Burpees
Moseyed to the “no smoking smoking area” by the court house and performed…
2-minute Box jumps
2-minute Dips
Moseyed back to the bridge and performed…
2-minute Curb to curb merkins
2-minute Pendulum lung left leg
2-minute Pendulum lung right leg
The PAX then moseyed back to the deck for Mary.
