Paradise welcomes in the third Thursday of the Month with its Community Q. This week was a full-on block party. Ever since the Paradise blocks were moved up the hill, they haven’t received the attention they deserve, and judging by how tired my hands and arms are currently, the PAX needed some block attention themselves. So, after a brief warmup consisting of…

15 SSH IC
2 Burpees IT
10 SSH IC
4 Burpees IT
10 Arm Circles (Forward and Reverse, IC)
10 Windmills IC

PAX fellowship-moseyed up the hill and to the blocks, which were prepped and ready to be passed out.

While details of the ensuing events are fuzzy, they looked something like this (I apologize for not remembering exactly who contributed which exercise, and for my lack of full fluency with the F3 Exicon):
10 Blockies OYO
20 Blerkins (erkin on the block) OYO
25 LBCs block overhead IC

Overhead Carry to first parking lot median
Bicep Curls (a lot IC)
Bent-over Rows (a lot IC)
Plank Block-Pass Throughs (6 to each side OYO)

Overhead Carry to the grass near the starting site
Yanni Merkins (10 total IT)
2 Rounds of Squats
Flutter Kicks (IC, a lot)

PAX partnered up, lined up on the sidewalk and faced across the grass toward the sidewalk leading to the coffeeteria. One PAX Farmers’ Carried 2 blocks while the other Forward Crab Walked across the grass. PAX flap-jacked when they met up again and continued until both PAX had completed 2 rounds and the blocks were on the sidewalk leading to the coffeeteria.

While I was secretly hoping that the next exercise would be a set of coffee curls, it was:
Single-Arm Rows (IT)
Arnolds (IT), as predicted.
Overhead Press (IT), as surprised.

That was a particularly nasty sequence, so we Suitcase Carried our blocks to the circular parking lot behind the school. Here, we were greeted with:

Alternating lunges (IT). The block was held low to each side and alternated with each leg. The word GRIP STRENGTH was overheard during the terse mumble chatter.
A long set of Dips (IC).
10 Block Jump Burpees (OYO, trying to neither trip nor smack one’s head).
Here I tried to lighten the burden of the blocks by calling a set of Murder Bunnies but my co-site Q wisely voted to preserve the integrity of our blocks and suggested that I call something else. I went with:
Homer-to-Marge Chest Press (IT) where the hips went down as the arms pressed up.

Since our time was running short, the PAX began their trek back to the top of the hill with an Overhead Carry followed by partners flap-jacking between Farmers’ Carry and Bear Crawl/Lunge Walk.
The blocks were mercifully stored away in their proper home in a highly efficient manner.

PAX then fellowship-moseyed to the AO and held a low-plank hold until the 6 arrived for a 3 minute MARY consisting of:
Heels to Heaven
Chilly Willies
Rocky Balboas with under-appreciated vocal accompaniment

Announcements:
All PAX were encouraged to attend the Wolf Convergence at Duck and Weave. The Battering Ram is still operating as normal, but PAX were warned that TBR would not be normal.
Catskill is preparing for another Habitat for Humanity workday on March 25.

Prayer Requests:
My mom’s husband passed away last weekend after a nearly 4 year battle with lung cancer. Robert J. Mickle was a member of the 82nd Airborne and forged very strong friendships with other men. He would have loved F3, had such an organization existed for him. We are lucky.

COT:
There was a brief prayer thanking God for the strength to support each other and to be humbled in each other’s presence.
