1. Warm-Up
Boucher shared what brought him to F3, and what it means to him.

2. The Thang
WHO ARE THE SLT MEMBERS AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
Here are the members of the SLT that are working on behalf of all PAX in F3 Churham:
1st F Qs -Bump Draft & Cosmo
2nd F Qs – Bellhop & Uzi
3rd F Qs – Moore & Nickelback
Expansion Qs – Boucher & Vice
Commz Q – Castaway
Rucking Q – Rambler
Weasel Shaker – Nightshift
Nantan – Knope

Leading into this meeting, these PAX did a ton of work getting on the same page for what their roles were responsible for within the entire region. The role for each position are:

1st F Qs – (Abridged Version) – Establish best practices for workouts and safety, supporting AO Qs, encourage and promote region-wide CSAUPS, explore additional opportunities for new CSAUPS, be available as a resource to PAX and AO Qs, establish relationships, and consult on site expansion.

2nd F Qs – Fosters an environment inclusive to all PAX in the region through 2nd F opportunities.

3rd F Qs – Seeks to understand the needs and wants of the PAX; then plants anything from leadership development, faith formation, community service, etc. opportunities.

Commz Q – Oversees and manages all communication platforms to optimize messaging to F3 PAX and effectively market to prospective PAX. For Churham 2022, platforms include Gmail, Website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Slack.

Expansion Q – Develops opportunities for expansion of our PAX and for all 3 Fs. Works with the 1st F Qs on adding new AOs when necessary.

Rucking Q – A Leader that takes responsibility for the Ruckers and Ruckership outcome of F3 Churham. Creates a culture of rucking across the region, engages with ruck clubs, rucking gear point of contact.

Weasel Shaker – Keeps his ear to the ground, and his finger on the pulse of the PAX with the Nantan. (YHC's personal comment – this is the guy who ensures we are in line with F3 Nation's doctrine and dogma).

Nantan – A cultural/spiritual Leader within a Starfish-modeled Organization who Influences through VAPE (Vision, Articulation, Persuasion, and Exhortation).

COVID UPDATE
Omicron is much more transmissible than previous variants of COVID. Please reiterate greater distances between PAX, whenever possible, more than 6 feet distance. Please encourage masks during coffeeterias, and even for that all important social time that happens between COT and driving away. Our goal is to keep F3 running for the myriad health outcomes of our PAX. If you don't feel the need to protect yourself, please think about protecting this fantastic community during a tough time.

ORGANIZATIONAL ITEMS FOR SLT
– Terms for SLT members are two years. For this first SLT, in positions where there are two people in the same role, their 2 year terms will be staggered. One person will go off the SLT after 1 year, setting up a staggered rotation for F Qs and Expansion.

– SLT members are responsible for helping recruit their replacements. It is not mandatory, but encouraged for a replacement to come for another corner of F3 Churham.

– The Nantan will have a two year term as well. Due to the nature of this position, the Nantan will be selected from the SLT. The process for selection will be determined at a later date.

– SLT meetings will occur monthly on the 1st Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Location TBD, and may rotate. The 2nd F Qs mentioned the possibility of future 2nd F happy hours to follow. Would this be a beerateria?

3. MARY
Ahead of our next meeting (2/2/22), YHC will put together a document for the SLT members to begin brainstorming some goals for the year, and develop a purpose statement of the SLT.

4. NAKED-MAN MOLESKIN
Thank you to Adolphus, Riggs, and Teo for their work to establish and grow F3 Churham into what it is today. I also want to recognize and thank anyone that has served as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd F Q for what they've done over the years.

This SLT has a unique challenge. Our region was established before F3 Nation pushed leadership to the extent it does now. There was no 43 feet framework to work within. Our work is to take our region from 1-3 key people taking charge of things to 12 people taking charge of things, and to do so in a way that follows F3 Nation doctrine, which has been proven to be successful. What we did before was right, what we're moving towards is also right, and the SLT is here to facilitate that transition and lead our region.

The SLT isn't here as a policy making committee, it isn't an authority of what is and isn't permitted, and its not here to tell you what to do. From the words of each of the members (see above), we're here to do things like "support", "encourage", "consult", "foster", "understand", "create a culture", have a "ear to the ground", and to "lead" the PAX in a way that they are freed to lead themselves.

Based on my work over the past few weeks with each of these PAX, your SLT is made up of the right guys to make this transition and to lead us in a positive direction. F3 is here to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. We're building the road 43 feet ahead of us as we travel it, and every man in our region is at a mile marker on that 43 feet of road. The SLT members are all on a higher number milemarker, and are picking up the six, not leaving men where they found them. Each of them are committed to pushing, pulling, carrying whomever needs it so we all can travel that 43 feet.

Gentlemen, it is an honor to work on this SLT, and to be the Nantan of a region with such an embarrassment of riches.

SYITG,

Knope
