The Thang-
So in the short life of me being a Q I always like themes. I also know we do lots of “Jacobs Ladders”, set to the #7. So in trying to tie all these together I thought “what goes good with 7?” And naturally 7/11 comes to the brain. Then that led me to the name of a famous fictional convenience store which led me to one of my favorite shows and one the most famous clerks in history. Then I was craving a slurpee and got up to get one. Then I came up with this once the brain freeze wore off…
Warmup-
SSH-25, good mornings -15, Imperials-15, Mountain climbers-25, Slow Merkins-15
Mosey to the short brick wall and do 20 cadence “Boxkins” (box jump followed by an erkin)
Mosey back to start the “7”
Jacobs ladder of 6 jump tucks, run halfway round track, 1 burpee. Keep it up til jump tucks at 1, burpees at 6.
Move on to the “11”
Shorten track to lap around jungle gym and basketball court. 10 dips, halfway around, 1 hand release merkin. Keep going until down to 1 dip, 10 hand release merkins. 1 change though, PAX must carry coupon of varying style (rucks, sandbags, kettle bells, or dumbbells) to next exercise, drop, grab new coupon and continue.
What thing makes a good convenience store great? Being open 24/7 of course! So to honor our around the clock boutiques of munchies we break into 2 groups- 1 group does 24 air squats while 2nd does 7 pull-ups. Keep switching, dropping squats by 3, pull-ups by 1 til at 3 and 1 respectively.
This fest took up so much time it had to count as Mary. But every PAX earned their gas station hot dog today.
Shoutout to all PAX that stopped by the store. In the words of Apu, “Thank You! Come again!”
