Last November 2, Pres Obama came to town and we made the decision to move Rameses to The Cougar as we figured the secret service may not appreciate a bunch of sketchy dudes dressed in black roaming UNC before dawn. 42 PAX showed up that day for the original Wednesday convergence and DOI and YHC agreed that we would return the favor and do another convergence at Rameses in the future. Fast forward to the present and with F3 Churham”s growth and the invitation extended to the House of Pain PAX, we knew the numbers would be strong. Sure enough, the record for Rameses PAX was broken today – 64 PAX! We even had 20 for extra credit – 18 who ran 4 miles (including Lone Pine twice) and 2 ruckers.
Warmup:
Run to Hooker fields as that is the only possible site nearby that could handle a circle of 60+ PAX. I would love to claim responsibility for the lights being on but that was just good old luck.

The Thang:
Count off into ten teams for a race. Each team planks while #1 runs across field and back, then #2 runs and so on through all members. Non-runners hold a plank the whole time. Winning team does 5 burpees. Everyone else does 10.
All PAX line up along field for The Escalator (it is a helluva sight to see 64 PAX lineup side by side). Run across field, do 10 merkins and return. Run across, do 10 merkins and 10 squats and return. Continue adding 10 reps of a new exercise each time: WWII”s, wide grip merkins, jump squats, burpees.
Mary: circle up for a very large ring of fire. Each PAX performs 5 merkins as we go around the circle. YHC should have recognized this would take a ridiculous amount of time. It did. We were out of time and still needed to do Name-o-rama and run back to OEC.
Apologies for running over time. Thanks to everyone who came. Was a true honor and a blast to lead this many man. I am motivated by the PAX daily but was especially motivated and honored today to see how far F3 Churham has come. I look forward to the next convergence and the new records that will be set.
