Today was scheduled to be our quarterly Family/2.0 Day at Thin Blue Line – thankfully Coco and T”eo checked the weather forecast and postponed the family friendly activity. That left 19 pax without their loved ones (save one 2.0) for a Tri-Q assault on a rainy Saturday morning…
First up: T”eo
Mosey up the hill to the upper parking lot
SSH, IW, arm circles, squats
Teams of 3 – run to the big hill, 20 derkins, 20 irkins, run back, 20 airsquats (repeato for 3 total rounds) – merkin count 120 – with some low plank holds while everyone finished
Second: Doogie
10 laps around the “Figure 8″ stairs/sidewalk
Mosey to the hill for 20 derkins
Mosey to the soccer field for jack webb”s 1:4 – merkin x1, shoulder press x4, merkin x2, SP x8… up to 10 – merkin count 175
Last, and certainly not least – Coco
Back down the merkin ladder – merkin count 230
Round the world potpourri of exercises, each pax calls out an exercise (ex russian hammer, burpees, peter parker peters) with 5 count merkins after each person – merkin count 350
COT
Moleskin
– 4 pax took on some additional spartan training with the “atlas pot”, farmer carries with 45# KBs, jump rope, and merkins… we probably did 500 of”em.. just ask Riggs… who was also upset at the lack of YHCs organiziation… oh well.. he”s a better man because of it #sorrynotsorry
– The Bull, 4/1 starting at 0600 in Durham – details to follow – T”eo asked me to convey that this isn”t a 4 hour constant workout – it lasts 4 hours but there are little workouts with travel time and breaks – think of it like a string of pearls…
– Don”t forget to buy a shirt.. or 4…
– Thank-you to our brothers at Carpex who came out this morning! We will return the favor…
