COT
I was out with Nescafe running and he was talking about his training for a marathon. And he said that when you’re training your body becomes so efficient and conditioned that unless you continue to improve your time / increase your pace, you end up going backwards. In essence, by settling in to what’s comfortable, you end up losing ground.
I think that concept applies to marriage as well. Marriage is work. Unless you’re working at it, and pushing yourself to be a better partner, you risk getting too comfortable and, in a sense, moving backwards in your relationship. You will change, your spouse will change, and your life situations will change. And those changes often require you to adapt and push beyond your comfort zone in order to progress. So. continue to put the effort it. Go the extra length to do something nice. Remind your spouse how much you care for them. It matters more than you think! Until next time in the gloom. Aye.

- For those unfamiliar the ‘M‘ is F3 codename for your significant other, aka the ‘M‘ost important relationship in a man’s life.
- The guys doing the F3 podcast (43 Feet) did an episode about the “M” and how it’s the most important relationship in a PAX’s life. They don’t get to it until about the 30 min segment. You can listen to it at: https://soundcloud.com/f3nation/the-m-q15-episode-38-43feet-a-leadership-podcast
