10 misty eyed PAX convened the morning after Tiger Woods emotional Masters victory. Was it a coincidence that it was his 15th Major Tournament championship and Tax Day- April 15th??…Absolutely! None the less YHC made sure the warm-up at least would put honor where honor was due.
SSHx 15; Squats x 15; Merkins x 15; LBAC x15; Imperial Walkers x15; Willie Mays Hays x15 . Finished off warm up with a Circle Burp- all PAX in high knees with a ring of fire single burpees. Mosey to the hill leading up to the upper lot.
Partner up for a 2 exercise DORA. During a brainstorming session YHC asked his 3 year old for his favorite exercise. Expecting something ridiculous, he actually had a reasonable idea, that he called “chest clips”. Basically a mix of Carolina Dry Docks and Monkey Humpers, so it could be Dry Humpers or just stick with Chest Clips which is pretty glorious for it’s randomness. The 2nd exercise known as the Triple Bear came inspired by the M. To keep this from becoming too wordy just trust that it sucks in conjunction with backwards runs up a hill.
Partner 1 does a backwards run up the hill and forward run back down while Partner 2 is performing the exercise. Each partnership completed cumulative x 100 Chest Clips and x 100 Triple Bears. Mosey to the Track.
Starting at the midpoint of front stretch each Pax runs to start of turn 1, bear crawls to end of turn 2. Run to mid-point of back stretch and complete 25 merkins. Run to turn 3, lunge walk to end of turn 4 and run back to start point for 25 jump squats. Rinse and repeat. Original goal was to complete 4 laps for a full mile but ran out of time. Most completed 2 laps with exception of Dial Up who hammered out 3. Mosey back for Mary.
Funny Money and Knope put together a surprisingly well choreographed duet showing off their golden pipes singing “Moving on Up” while the PAX completed Weezy Jefferson’s. They are available for weddings and BahMitzah’s…get em booked now while they’re still cheap!
COT: Continued prayers for the victims and their families after the explosion in Downtown Durham last week.
