6 then 4 then 2

November 25, 2017

WHEN: 11/25/2017
QIC: Rambler
PAX: Beanbag, Breech, Chum, Mumbles, Stinky Pete

YHC thought it would be good to get some real miles in post-food-coma-inducing-meals the last few days.  The offer was thrown out into the interwebs: 10 miles, offroad. 5 PAX joined YHC on this journey.

Briar Chapel has some spectacular trails.  After taking a Kill Bill loop post-leaves fallen, YHC believes that the PAX may have done more trail blazing than using existent paths.  At this point in time, the first hour was up, and Mumble and Chum had to depart to get their days started. With one loop out of the way, and seriously behind schedule,  we journeyed to Horseshoe, another picturesque jaunt, parts of which are directly adjacent to the creek.  Many thanks to Stinky Pete for navigating that section.

Beanbag and Stinky Pete departed after hour 2, which left YHC and Breach to speed ruck the last 5 miles.  The goal being to get back before our 2.0s realized we had been gone for so long.

YHC’s legs were completely tapped by the end. Breach did a fantastic job pushing the pace. Great mumblechatter for the duration of the ruck.

It was a nice surprise seeing Nescafe in the Basecamp parking lot, finishing up a 7 mile run.

BOM: Not so much of a ball, given that there were two of us, and we needed to get home in a hurry. Until next time!
