3 Mile 300

May 16, 2018

WHEN: 05/16/2018
QIC: Coco
PAX: Boucher, Uzi, Beano, Shake It, Draper, Champ, Cheese, Bushwood, Peach, Cooter, Tooltime, One Dimension, Timber, Pink, Minneapolis, TB, Foghorn Leghorn, Coco

YHC’s simple goal for this morning was to cover 3 miles and complete 300 reps (not including anything during warm up or Mary).  Although we hit the 300 mark for our reps, perhaps choosing to run THWM was not the optimal route for hitting the 3 mile mark.  We managed to cover less than 1.5 miles which didn’t disappoint, but rather suggests a different strategy for our next attempt. The humidity was surprisingly strong in the early hours – but that didn’t stop 4 (5?) maniacs from chopping down 2 cycles of EC Pine.

Warm Up
SSH (x30 IC)
BWS (x10 IC)
Merkins (x15 IC)

The Thang
A few sandbags and KBs were left at the edge of the parking lot while the PAX moseyed their way down to the bottom of THWM.

Round 1: Sprint back up to the top of THWM and complete 100 reps inclusive of the following mix:
20 burpees.  20 merkins. 20 WWIIs. (everyone)
20 reps of another exercise followed by 20 reps of another (100 total reps).  Plank.
(Dealer’s choice options included: KB swings, sandbag presses/curls/squats, etc.)

Round 2: Lung walk up to the top of THWM and complete 100 reps inclusive of the following mixture:
100 reps (repeato in the same way as the previous round).  Plank.

Round 3: Crawl bear up to the top of THWM and complete 100 reps inclusive of the following mixture:
100 reps (repeato in the same way as the previous round).  Plank.

With the clock counting down, we pushed down the hill for one more advancement back up THWM.
Stop at the 1st yellow gate: 15 burpees OYO. Run back to the top: 15 merkins OYO.
