April 12, 2021

WHEN: 04/12/2021
QIC: Mail Order
PAX: Tater Tot, Blanche, Happy Trees, Cousin Vinny, Magellan, Chowdah, Iggy Peck, Roach, Rooney, Sodapopinski, Dial Up, Toolbox, Mail Order (Q)

After some mixup and confusion on the status of a Q, it was settled that YHC would get to Guest Q before leaving town to head back to the Seattle Region. Shoutout to Sodapopinski for the audible and graciously moving (being moved?) to next week. With a last minute decision to Q at a site that had never been seen YHC took an evening trip to the AO to scout out the land and was overjoyed to find the baseball field unlocked!

Warm Up
Mountaineer Motivators – 10 down to 1
– The PAX indicated they knew this one a bit, but then began to think they didn’t teach us how to count properly out in the Puget Sound when this wasn’t a 4 count exercise. Trust me, none of us would’ve wanted that…

Dynamic Movements between light poles:
– Sprint 1/2, mosey 1/2 – 10 Foxholes OYO
– High knees 1/2, sprint 1/2 – 10 Imperial Walkers IC
– Butt kicks 1/2, sprint 1/2 – 10 Foxholes OYO
– Shuffle 1/2, flip shuffle 1/2 – 10 Imperial Walkers IC

The Thang
Since YHC was Q for a group he’d never posted with and making a last minute workout I pulled out some routines from March Q’s out west. We began with Base-Balls to the Wall. The PAX paired up and one partner was always BTTW while the other ran the bases. Each successive lap involved sprinting one base farther, completing an exercise (Base x 10) then Bernie Sanders the rest of the bases to home. Most of the PAX wanted the short route back on Lap 1 and were quickly corrected to run the FULL base path.
– Lap 1: 10 Burpees
– Lap 2: 20 Squats
– Lap 3: 30 merkins
– Lap 4: 40 LBC’s
The PAX were told to complete Monkey Humpers for the six, except well they completed this together and there was no six on the baseball diamond.

After plenty of running to start YHC knew it would be time to slow things down. Moseying over the the other side of the school the PAX again broke off into pairs, with a new partner, to complete a Lazy DORA
– 100 Dips – Partner hold Plank, switch every 10
– 200 LBC’s – Partner holds 6” off ground, switch every 20
– 300 Bonnie Blair’s – Partner holds squat, switch every 30
Happy Trees and his partner flew through this DORA and I’m pretty sure Happy Trees even threw in some boxing practice during his Bonnie Blair’s. Shoutout to Rooney for a solid partnership with YHC!

Running low on time we returned to the start and went to a plank position. Apparently by this time the West Coast mumbo jumbo had become to much for the PAX today as when I informed the group 1/2 the circle does a Mucho Chesto while the other half holds plank then flapjack there was ALOT of confusion and VERY LITTLE Mucho chesto. Alas, we made it through 2x each before TIME at which I think they were ready to send me back to Seattle and return to their regularly scheduled programming.

COT
See slack for announcement by Cousin Vinny.

Wish I could give more insight to the mumble chatter but it was dark and I didn’t get most names until the end. Appreciate y’all letting me step in this week and I hope to be back out with y’all soon!

Always a pleasure.
