While hanging out with my 7 year old daughter yesterday afternoon.  I got the idea that I should do something with the old wooden pallet sitting in my garage.  OK, actually I got the idea because the 7 year old said, “Daddy, you should do something with that old wooden pallet.”  So after a quick test run yesterday I decided to make it into part of a workout today.

Warm – up

The clock struck 5:30 and 6 PAX began to mosey from the parking lot to the track.  We fellowship jogged halfway around then stopped for  some warm up exercises.  20 SSH, 10 Imperial Walker, 10 Little baby arm circles (forward and back), 10 WMHs, 10 overhead claps.  We then continued on our way around while doing high knees and karaoke.  Once back to the entrance we ran into Dial up and continued back to the parking lot where YHC had some stuff set up.

The Thang

5 penalty burpees in honor of @Dial-up

YHC had set out 7 station in the middle of the parking lot.  YHC knew there would be 7 PAX so he only did 7 stations.  The stations were as follows. 1. Overhead press with 50lbs pickle bucket.  2 balance 2 tennis balls on a piece of wood while holding your arms straight out, if balls drop the bunny hop to cone and do 25 merkins.  3. 25lbs kettle bell swings 4. pallet pull with rope attached and 2 25lbs buckets on pallet. 5. lunge walk with cinder block overhead  6. Hold arms out to side while holding 2 gallons of water. 7. Box jumps.  We did this with the cinder block or pallet being the timer for the rest.  2 total sets were done with a few modifications to the second set.

YHC then had PAX add cinder block and other pickle bucket to pallet and we played chase the pallet.  One PAX pulled the pallet while the other PAX chased him around the parking lot.  Once caught then next man up would take his place.  YHC learned that the uphill pull is much harder than the down hill.

Then we did 20 merkins just because YHC wanted to .
