11/30/2022 The Big House – Acting Like Chickens

November 30, 2022

WHEN: 11/30/2022
QIC: Bada Bing
PAX: DeWater, Zook, Marky Mark
ME HEADCOUNT: 4

In the immortal words of the great Chum…"a chicken has a head (this) big, and even it knows to get out of the rain."

So we acted like chickens and mosey'd our way up the road to the covered pavilion. After YHC laid out the first circuit in the dry, Marky Mark suggested we warm up prior to commencing burpees, so we did just that…

SSH x 20 IC
WMH x 10 IC
Harvesters x 10 IC
IW x 10 IC
Arm Circles x 10 F/R IC

Then we created 4 stations:
Burpees x 5
Plank
Mountain Climbers
Recovery/Low Squat Hold/People's Chair

We rotated once the Burpee reps were done. 4 rounds through.

Next circuit was:
Merkins x 10
Balls to The Wall
People's Chair
Freddie Mercuries

We rotated once the Merkin reps were done. 4 rounds through.

Next up was super sets of:
Overhead presses x 10 IC
Lateral raises x 10 IC (Like chickens)
Bus drivers x 10 IC (YHC's next career, maybe?)

Recover after completing all three/not between. 3 rounds through.

Then we mosey'd up the road, Bernie Sanders'd back to Briar Chapel parkway. Mosey'd to the circle and then down Great Ridge to the first intersection where we grabbed some guardrail and did…
Dips x 10 IC
Erkins x 10 IC
Dips x 10 IC
Erkins x 10 IC

And we mosey'd back to the AO where we admired DeWater's 15 year old Coleman rain suit with a 5 year old crotch duck tape patch. Dry as a chicken. Respect.

Announcements:
1. New Chatham AO The Knight launches tomorrow @ Knight Farm Park in Pittsboro.
2. Zook is celebrating his 5 year anniversary at The Wall on Friday. Rumor has it he is going to make this a MASSIVE fundraising opportunity for CORA.
3. F3 Holiday Fundraiser has us narrowly in second over F3 Chapel Hill, who we are also competing with to raise the most money thru tomorrow night. Loser provides 5 Qs to the other. South Chapel Hill is trouncing everyone so we are just focused on a podium position.

COT:
This past Sunday was the beginning of the season of Advent, where Christians prepare for the coming of God in the flesh. But Christian or not, now is a good time to evaluate your relationships and roles in your life and think deliberately about what we want them to look like during this holiday season where so much is competing for our time and attention and can drown out the spirit of the season. Lastly, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear. Aye.
