‘Twas a cold October morning at Farmboys
when five men were brought together to work on strengthening themselves at the Carrboro. While it can be exciting to see a big number of Pax filling the parking lot and stepping into the startex circle for warmarama, the nature of a small group workout is something to behold. Mumblechatter was a thing to behold in this small group.
The warm weather this fall at the AO had created a bit of a new dynamic for us, with a different type of squats. A small but growing group of overnight guests had moved in under the terraces where Pax are accustomed to squat walking around the square. We’ve gradually migrated our exercises to the front of the town hall in recent weeks. These folks fled to other parts of the town due to 40 degree temps this Tuesday morning, but I had already planned to use the Town Hall steps for my Q, and stuck to the plan.

We got the blood flowing into our muscles full body starting with Jacobs Ladderx2, and felt the burn towards the end of a the leg heavy section.

Continued to work on both legs and chest with a stair climb up/down movement and small circle:
2 rounds of (a) all pax low squat hold while 1 pax at a time bear crawled around the front steps of the Hall (b) all pax plank hold while 1 pax at a time high kneed it around the front steps of the Hall.

Mary in the middle:
20 IC flutter kicks, 20 toe taps, 10 IC Sea turtles, 10 IC Australian Snow Angels

To the planter under the great Oak, great circle for more mumble chatter as well as leg and chest exercises:
