October 5, 2022

As I was preparing the Q for today, my first trip to Hurricanrana in too long, doing something old school with a twist jumped into my mind. My thought was to utilize Chubb's Hill for a Dora, but do it as a pyramid, hence the Doramid. Here's how it rolled.

Upon arrival there were a few cars in the lot, PAX excited to workout in the gloom. One was an FNG, Mike. Mike was later named Trench Elf due to the time he spent in the trenches of the OLine for Duke. When the 14th PAX rolled in, we jumped into action.

WARM UP
SSH x 24
WMH x 12
Harvester x 12
Batwing x 12 (LBAC, RLBAC, Seal Claps, Cherry Pickers, OH Claps, OH Presses)
Mosey to the bottom of Chubb's Hill

THE THANG
A hybrid of the Dora and the Pyramid, YHC laid out the rules for the Doramid. Partner up size/speed doesn't matter. Here's the agenda:
50 Burpees (Shorter course for runners to keep the reps low)
100 Merkins (Short course as above)
200 LBC (We lengthened the Course here)
300 Squats
200 Alternating Shoulder Taps
100 WW2s
50 Super Lunges
Unfortunately YHC didn't properly recall how long Chubb's Hill is! While I think we can get all of this work in in 45 minutes, it isn't possible to do it with such a long mosey to the hill. Another time another Doramid. Most PAX got through the ASTs.

MARY
Flutter Kicks x 30
Hello Dollys x 20

COT
Tons of running related announcements. The fellas in NoDu, have a channel for their weekly (+) runs, and upcoming events #ndtr. Check out the ATT 1/2 Marathon that several PAX are doing. There's another run in October, and November brings the Possum Scurry. All this is on the #NDTR Chanel. We also announce The Quarterly Report this Saturday, and The Bull on October 29. Sign up is on the Epic Mega Doc that I've posted on the #hurricanrana channel. YHC took us out.

NAKED MOLESKIN
Thank you NoDu for the warm welcome today. It was great to meet Toucan and Sparky, both transplants to Churham from other regions. Having Trench Elf join us was a welcomed addition who seems like he'll fit right in. The Hurricanrana stalwarts are always welcomed sights. To see Cyanide back after a hiatus really brought it home for me though. He's been in F3 longer than me, and to have him go and come back speaks to the resiliency of High Impact Men that we choose to work out along side, consider friends, and that we build community with. Today's full circle of new PAX, as well as old reminded me of the beginning of my time here, and where I am now, how we've ebbed and flowed over the past 5 years, and considering the breadth of this region how welcoming this community is to all men. Thank you gentlemen for making F3 Churham what it is, as well as the opportunity to lead.

SYITG!
