Step-ups on the tables, wall sits, and a lunge to the trailhead

Finally! 5:50 and it's getting light enough to see at least 80% of the roots and rocks. We dive in for a 3/4-mile run with the local fauna. A few pauses for squats, then Johnny Dramas, and somehow we ended up at the tennis courts. No matter; quick jog around and a bunny hop the hill to the playground and it's back to Vortex turf.
