05/20/2022 Duck and Weave – Simple but not Easy

May 20, 2022

WHEN: 05/20/2022
QIC: Cortés
PAX: Coco, Buffay, Bedpan, Gilligan, Nickelback, Busch League, Muzungu, Roy G Biv, Lost Boy, Milton, Nubbin
ME HEADCOUNT: 12
EC HEADCOUNT: 4

YHC signed up to Q to test the waters after DC star course last weekend. I decided to “test” the PAX fitness level to equalize everyone and see how they were able to respond (or something philosophical like that).
Warm up
SSH, Slow Merkins, Slow Squats Micheal Phelps. Mosey to Farmers market
(Listening to F3 podcast inspired me to prepare a “turbo” and a “diesel” version of the Q. Milton was ready to lead the diesel option if needed but didn’t need that modification today so will save it for another time. I encourage everyone leading to make sure we provide for all men who show up even if that means splitting the group and tapping another leader)
The Thang
1 min to complete 10 burpees (or modified number/count)
1 min Mosey
Repeat x 18
We returned to the AO and completed out 18th round of burpees but needed one more Mosey so it was an All you have left sprint across the parking lot.
Mary
1 min Floyd Plank (yes really)

COT
4th Sunday trail run this weekend starting from Duck and Weave AO – Coco and Buffay with the details
Dads Camp – check the slack channel and sign up

NMS
I called this workout a barometer, I do not take the honor of leading for granted but want to use it as an opportunity to push one another to get better/do better/be better versions of ourselves. Today was hard. Simple effective and NOT easy. You may have modified and that is 100 percent okay but now you know. Looking forward to doing more hard things SYITG
