WHEN: 05/02/2022
QIC: Nickelback
PAX: Nubbin, Roy G Biv, Gilligan, Bedpan
ME HEADCOUNT: 5

To kick-off the week-long celebration of Cinco de May and the beginning leg of the Trip Nip YHC was stoked to have the Q. The theme was honoring the memories from previous Mondays with a best hits rendition.

WARM-UP
A previous Trip Nipper, Mr. Grunge had one of the most memorable Monday morning "warm-ups" where he sprinted us back and forth the parking lot between the flag and the entrance with burpees and squats. So we did the same!
-10 Burpeee (3x)
-10 Squats (3x)

We then moseyed down to the parking circle honor "Pusher's Pipe." Instead of the water filled pipe YHC brought a taper which the pax members lifted high in the sky one at a time while the rest completed a set of SSH before passing on to the next pax member until everyone in the circle enjoyed the experience.

A Monday morning warm-up would not be complete without a shout-out to the famous Cortez Porta John Chinooks.

THE THANG
We moseyed to the soccer goals where a light shone brightly on a board…..but what this was the Board of Fun designed by Nubbin! So we had some modified fun. But before we could start we honored the discovery of the "Halfback Hole" by taking a lap around the field and laughing about that time Halfback almost broke an ankle but didn't (thus why it is appropriate to laugh at) and thus named it after Halfback for generations to remember him by.

Cone Wars
After the warm-up lap we were back to having fun at the Board of Fun.
-Teams of two-faced off one on each end of the field. The goal was to be the team that made it first to the middle of the field and grab the cone.
-Mode of travel was bear crawl to cone 1, complete 5 merkins, then sprint to the middle of the field to grab the one cone.
-The odd man out did burpees until a winner was announced.
-Repeato 4x

Hippo Race
We then all took out a plastic ball in the bag of tricks and placed it under our chin. The goal was to make it to the cone crab walking without dropping the ball. We ended up doing 30 penalty burpees. It was kinda fun so we packed in the games and headed over to the picnic tables.

Roy's Pyramid
YHC lost a piece of his would during Roy G Biv's VQ (that sounds awkward) when he introduced a pyramid merkin routine while wearing a rucksack. So naturally it made the Monday Memories. The Pax completed sets of 1, 2, 3, 4…al the way up to 10 and then back down to 1. The trick was there was a rucksack that needed to be worn by one pax member during the rounds. So the Pax passed it around and we accomplished the goal.

Flying Squirrels
We picked up the picnic table and thought it would be a good idea to burnout the triceps. One Pax member did 10 merkins on top of the table while the rest of the pax held up the table. Rotated until everyone had a turn.

Buffay's Bloody Body
We then had to reenact an injury of a modified balls to the wall first introduced to a Monday workout by Nightshift. Imagine a reverse balls to the wall. YHC demonstrated and realized it was harder then the original. The Pax completed a 10 count of reverse balls to the wall. Then it was time to head back to the flag taking all our goodies.

MARY
-Scrum jumps ring of fire
-"Table top Rockette kicks"

COT
YHC reminded the pax that friendships can be made anywhere and showed off a framed etched stone with the word "cairdeas" on it. A previous Monday workout we hosted a couple of friends from Ireland who to this day talk about the positivity of the group and the demonstration of "picking up the six."

AYE!
