Great site at Hogan's Heroes, awesome group of PAX, Laces Out on-site coffee…what else could a Q ask for! Well it was 37 & raining (far less than ideal) and imagine all PAX had the alarm-sounding choice of fartsack or post. Who's going for ideal?

Reverse run to end of white line

Thang #2: Kalsu WOD (on clubhouse porch)
Briefly introduced the WOD & 1st Lt James Robert Kalsu
100 thrusters (block as weight) with 5 burpee EMOM to start & at every minute thereafter until completion of 100 thrusters
As minutes passed, gave little nuggets of Kalsu
-killed in Vietnam War in 1970
-All American OT at Oklahoma
-left professional football after 1 year with Buffalo Bills to serve in the US Army

This WOD is extremely brutal but an awesome challenge. First minute PAX knocked out 12-18 thrusters. Every minute thereafter, PAX struggled to get 5-8 reps after their 5 burpees. Because I am a true modify as necessary Q, we changed to 3 burpees EMOM after about five minutes. Then we took a full minute recovery after about 7 minutes. All PAX took Elwood's reps of 64 thrusters and began again. Burpee EMOM modified to 1 burpee for last several rounds.

Fellowship Lap (all were relieved for 37 & rain after roughly 12 mins of Kalsu)

Thang #3: DORA thing (back to deck)
Partner A: farmer's march (block in each hand marching in place)
Partner B: total of 100 single-leg groiners switching partners at rep 25

Partner A: farmer's march (block in each hand marching in place) modified to standing butt kicks
Partner B: total of 150 X-factors switching partners at rep 25

COT
James Robert Kalsu made the ultimate sacrifice but before then, he sacrificed his professional football career to serve his country. Can we commit to making sacrifices in our lives to not only better ourselves, our loved ones, & our communities? Mid 30s and rainy in my opinion is the worst weather but I'm glad to have the opportunity to not waste it.

AYE!
