I felt inclined to lead for the first Q of the skunk. In honor of firsts I chose the workout from Week 1 of the first Iron Pax. I modified the speed and the running portion of the workout so all PAX could stay together. I included a playlist of assorted jams by The Alan Parson's project, Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Gin Blossom's, Def Leppard, Mumford and Sons, Chub Rock, Tom Petty, & KOL. Here's what went down:
WARM-UP:
20 SSH, 10 WMH, 10 Good Mornings, 20 Arm Circles, 10 Michael Phelps, 10 mountain climbers
THE THANG:
PAX moseyed to the light, more specifically a light pole by the high school parking lot. There waiting was a scrap piece of bead board with various exercises written with a worn out sharpie. It was not fancy so some called it the Stanley Cup board of pain or bead board of pain. The plan was 50 squats, 40 big boy sit ups, 30 Merkins, 20 jump lunges, 10 burpees then run across the parking lot and do 1 burpee then run back to start. Pick up the six until all have returned. We did this 4 times.
Mary:
20 flutter kicks, 10 count ring of fire 6 inch leg hold to finish things out.
COT:
Prayers for unspoken prayer requests. Nickelback is attending the SLT tonight. Q swap with West End during Feb at Duck and Weave. It was an honor to lead the PAX of the Northern Province today. Everyone pushed each other as always. Aye!
