I thought it was important for our PAX that were not tennis aficionados to get a refresher on one of the best sports rivalries ever.

So our warm-up consisted of
·SSH x 25
·Karaoke to corner of Boulder Point and jog to the top of the hill
·(And it was important that everyone carry with them a tennis ball that I provided throughout the workout)

And it was time for the 1st Set to get started

·Sprint to WWTP intersection
·Jog a little bit and lunge walk to the bottom of the hill
·15 burpees
·Another sprint to a light pole at the top of the next hill
·Jog to bottom of next hill
·Traveling burpees to cul de sac
·Jog to on new trail to Encore (55+ homes) neighborhood
·25 Squat jumps (if coordinated enough bounce the tennis ball and catch during jumps)
·Sprint to next intersection, jog uphill to next intersection
·Sprint to next light pole, jog to stone wall across from Encore amenity
·People’s chair x 10 count until Grunge slow counted; Q decided to goto a 3 count per person
·Last sprint to light pole followed by jog to tennis courts

2nd Set – divide up into 4 teams

·4 ball lateral shuffle pick-up (team relay) – place 4 balls on sideline and shuffle to pick up and bring back to other sideline. While team #3 won, it was little bit of chaos as the relay aspect didn’t work out quite as well as Q envisioned
·Overhead relay – start at baseline and run to net and touch with racquet. Back peddle and hit overhead with ball you’ve been carrying once you get to T. Goal is to be the fastest team with the most overheads landing in.

Tiebreaker / Mary

·Ball hit/retrieve – in the hopper of balls that everyone selected their balls from, there were two marked balls. Those that held the marked balls were matched against each other to see who could retrieve one ball the fastest for the tiebreaker. The deal was that a rep from the other two teams were given the marked balls and a racquet and asked to hit the marked balls anywhere on the Wall’s campus—a little strategy as well as speed would be required for victory.

·Ring of fire – (no hammie) to finish up
·A word of the day was provided to ponder on, Community. In honor of our one year anniversary, think about the word Community and all the various meanings this word has and what F3 brings to all the different communities we are a part of it means. In particular how F3 has impacted Community at Briar Chapel and how we all can have a positive impact of all of the communities we participate in

Concluded with the Lord’s Prayer
