The rain held off (per YHC’s request), and the day was made when out of the mist walked an F3 legend. Golden Pinky surprised us with his return, which served to reenergize YHC and compel an impromptu decision to give the former Churham all-star a tour of his old neighborhood.

Before beginning to mosey, the question was posed for consideration: “What is your F3 superpower?” Every PAX has an exercise they do better than others, that comes a bit easier for them than maybe it should. YHC calls that the F3 Superpower.

The Thang

There was plenty of travel on the docket, with stops along the way for a merkin-overhead clap-squat trifecta at various street corners.

Once reaching a steep, out-of-the-way hill that YHC had noted in past jaunts, two rounds of Usain Bolts gave a chance for some hill sprints.

The mosey tour continued until returning to the AO, where the superpower answers were provided. This old Q doesn’t remember most of them a few hours removed from the event. There were Bear Crawls, Peter Parkers, Crab Walks, and five others that have evaporated into the morning mist of memory.

A few more trifecta stops and a final all-you-got sprint (otherwise known as “Catch Golden Pinky!” … or “Dang, where has Montecristo been hiding these wheels?!”) concluded the exercise.

COT

Rambler’s 12-hour GoRuck is tonight, and wraps up near The Battering Ram. Attend the AO, and/or make a donation, if you are so inclined to support an amazing PAX and his cause to fight Parkinson’s.

Chatham Education Foundation is working toward its fundraiser event. Check with Mothman for more details.

BOM

Golden Pinky’s return serves as a reminder of a couple items. First, he’s awesome. It was fun to watch his emergence as a PAX, who went from 0 to 100 in rapid speed, and then so impressive to see him taking a big leadership position in F3 Austin. Second, his presence at the morning workout, with a brutal evening GoRock ahead of him, should make us revisit the notion of pushing ourselves and seeing what we can accomplish. Hint: it’s more than we’re currently doing.
