Nine pax turned out for a special edition of the Goat this morning. We relocated to Culbreth Middle School to take advantage of the track while UNC”s is under construction, as well as to visit the hills of Southern Village. Here”s what we did:
Warm-up:
Three fellowship laps followed by some Willy Mays Hayes, Imperial Walkers, and Slow Good Mornings.
Intervals:
Hard 300, jog 200, sprint 200, walk 100 (Catheter did these once at the Goat and I just borrowed them). Repeat for 20 minutes. Everyone got in 4 or 5 sets then it was time for part 2.
Hills:
Exit Culbreth and head for the corner of Hillspring and Highgrove. Highgrove is really steep but flattens out, and Hillspring is not as steep but goes on forever. Run down one and up the other, reverse directions when you finish a loop. Repeat for 20 minutes. Discuss which hill is worse.
Cool down lap, COT, closing prayer
This was my first Q at the Goat and I really enjoyed it. Thanks everyone for coming out. I”m about to hit two years with F3 and it”s a privilege to be a part of this group.
