The rare and mythical fifth Thursday finally hit for The Moose. As per the Moose charter, the fifth Thursday of a month can be at a random location determined by the Q. YHC jumped at the chance to host the Moose in Northern Durham and avoid the 25 minute drive into our normal locations.
YHC showed up early to get in some interval training at the Duke track. YHC did 5 600m repeats with 200m recovery in between.
At 0530 all the PAX finally removed themselves from the comfort of their warm cars, and into the 21o January morning. 10 PAX in all made the trip.
Warm-Up: All in Cadence

The Thang:
The PAX got a pretty scenic route of Duke’s West campus, and some bits of Downtown Durham. Some of the spoiled Chapel Hill PAX got to experience the frustration of urban running as we had to stop at multiple stop lights along the route. Overall, we totaled close to 7 miles. YHC’s time management was a little off, and we finished 5 minutes over. Here’s the course map and splits from my Strava account.
