The Unusual Suspects

After the usual suspects all told YHC they would be missing Tobacco Road, there was fear this would be a solo post.  Thankfully, 3 others decided to give YHC a chance this morning.  Altogether it felt like we were the unusual suspects.  You have the minty chocolaty candyman Peppermint Patty, the grandiose well-dressed mustached lawyer Jackie Chiles, the colorful galloper My Little Pony, and the pop superstar that knows haters are gonna hate Shake It.  As promised, the workout was kept on campus, but that didn’t mean YHC wasn’t going to test everyone’s cardiovascular endurance.

Warm-Up: All exercises performed in cadence

  • SSH x 25
  • WMH x 10
  • Slow-count merkins x 20
  • BWS x 20

The Thang:

Perimeter Escalators – PAX run the long side of the field, ¼ lap and perform 10 burpees.  PAX now run ½ lap and do 10 burpees, and 20 merkins.  PAX now run ¾ of a lap and perform 10 burpees, 20 merkins, and 30 alternating lunges.  Now a full lap around the field with 10 burpees, 20 merkins, 30 alternating lunges, and 40 jump squats.

11’s – Start with 1 donkey kick against the fence.  Sprint down to the playground and do 10 pull-ups.  Back to the field for 2 donkey kicks and then 9 pull-ups back at the playground.  Continue until performing 10 donkey kicks and 1 pull-up.  PAX took a few breaths and then held plank while the last of us finished.

The guys crushed the workout.  All-in-all it looks like we covered about 2.6 miles in the humid air this morning.  Still a few minutes on the clock, so we laid in the grass for some Mary.
