The Super Bowl

February 1, 2020

WHEN: 02/01/2020
QIC: Bitcoin
PAX: Sweats, Braveheart, Bobo, Pikachu, Cool J, Tree, Scrooge McDuck, Band Camp, Mr. Belding (FNG), Zima (visiting from Winston-Salem)

It was a soggy morning, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the PAX. Though perhaps it dismayed a group of skulkers that included Teo, Cheesesplint, Richard Simmons, Peppermint Patty and others who did EC in the gloom and then promptly high-tailed it out of town before the Main Event. This outrage shall be avenged!

Wait, where were we? Oh, right. The Super Bowl. Which my New York Football Giants have won four times. Though they won’t be adding to that total this year.

Warm Up
SSH x 25 (in honor of the G-Men beating the Bills in SB XXV)
Willie Mays Hayes
Imperial Walker x 21 (21 reps because the Giants beat Broncos in SB XXI)
Hillbilly
Arm Circles
Seal Claps x 21, Overhead Claps x 21 (21+21=42, Giants beat the Patriots in SB XLII)
Bitcoin Merkins (aka Merkins w/ a twist—merkin, R arm high, merkin, L arm high is one rep)

Main Event
A big bowl—the Super Bowl, of course—was filled with exercises written on slips of paper. There were all sorts of goodies in there. We did this for quite a while. Muscles were worked and fun was had. Fact check still pending on the last point.

Hill work: We moseyed to the hill. Backwards run up the hill, 10 merkins; run down, 15 merkins; backwards run back up, 21 merkins at the top. 10+15+21=46 merkins, because the Giants beat the Patriots (again) in SB XLVI.

Rail work: We knocked off a quick round of dips, urkins and durkins.

Mary: We moseyed back to the middle for a little Mary. First, we drew one final slip from the Super Bowl, which turned out to be burpees. Hey, that’s life. We then did 1:15 of a bows-and-toes plank and some LBCs before calling it.

Announcements: Reminder about the Bull in the Great White North on Feb. 29. Cool J took us out. Nobody wanted to go to Panera even though I have a free sandwich reward that expires in two days. This outrage too shall be avenged!

I appreciate the chance to lead and also to avenge outrages. Aye!
