With the Zen Squirrel race this weekend YHC opted for avoiding a speed workout or anything where the PAX might be tempted to try for a PB/PR. We decided instead to clear some spider webs for the runners that don’t wake up at 5AM to run in the dark woods of Chatham County. Because Cricket is always stumping us with British trivia, I thought I would throw out some trivia from an equally exotic land, where we also add R’s to the end of words – New York City.
WARMUP:
SSH x 20 IC
Imperial Walker x 15 IC
Hairy Rockettes x 15 IC
Heels to Inside (Name?) x 10 IC
Lateral leg swings x 15 ea leg OMU
THING:
Run down Great Meadow Parkway and enter trails past the dog park. PAX stopped at the long bridge for some NYC bridge trivia. Each question shaves off a third of the bridge for lunge walks. PAX answered 2/3 – lunge walked for 1/3 of the bridge. Continued up the trail to BC Parkway and down the trail on Bennett Mountain to the bridge. More NYC Bridge trivia and same result – lunge walked 1/3 of the bridge. Continued on the trails and lunge walked over all wooden bridges (turns out there are a good number of bridges).

COT:
Announcements: No one has any idea when the Briar Chapel BBQ will be held; Convergence next week at Rameses for Churham 6 year anniversary.
BOM: I got most of this out on the run because The Rabbit provides ample time for mumble chatter and general good conversation – Since joining F3 two months ago I have been amazed by how many great people I’ve met, by the new awareness of all the 2nd and 3rd F events going on constantly around the triangle, and I might be in the best shape I’ve ever been in. On Sunday night I was not thinking at all about going to work the next day, but about posting at The Thicket with Marky Mark Q’ing. It’s a great group and I’m glad I’m here.
Aye.
