Steps and Stones

March 25, 2019

WHEN: 03/25/2019
QIC: Shooter
PAX: Walt, Slug, Blackball

Four PAX gathered in the gloom Monday at Kenan Stadium, a lower-than-usual turnout precipitated perhaps by local schools being on spring break. No matter—all the more elbow and breathing room for these four on what turned out to be a solid campus tour.

The thang:

Warmup: SSH x 20, windmills x 10, squats x 10, arm circles forward and back x 10, merkins x 10, CDD x 10.

Mosey to Polk Place and tour the front steps of Wilson Library, Carroll Hall, South Building and Manning Halls, pausing at each one for six-eight minutes of activity that included dips on the stone walls, a slew of derkins, step-ups on the stone walls, one-leg lunges on the steps, 10 burpees at various junctures, a half dozen 30-second bows-to-toes planks, diamond merkins, wide grip merkins, dead-bugs, flutters and Freddie Mercuries.

For the encore, we ran to the new incline ramp outside the Indoor Practice Facility at mid-campus and did five sprints each, then returned to the AO for 20 WWIIs to wrap things up.

There were no bear crawls and no complaints about that.

Great work, gents. Until next time ….
