Shaking Out the Rust

3 PAX knocked out a 5k before the main event.  Congrats to Toolbox who posted a PR for his 5k.  The guy keeps getting faster and faster.

 

24 PAX showed up on a day after some serious flooding was seen across Durham and Chapel Hill.  This was a strong showing, and you could tell the PAX were missing F3. Durham sites were closed Friday and Saturday, and the smart PAX stayed out of downpour that was Monday morning.

The Thang:

Start off with some pain over by the tennis courts.  PAX were instructed to run a suicide while performing 5 burpees at the end of each court, and perform 5 donkey kicks against the fence on the way back each time.  PAX got in a people’s chair while the six finished up.

Next we gorilla crawled across the tennis court, stopping at each line for 5 jump squats.

We then made our way back across the tennis courts via crab walk, stopping at each line for 5 merkins.

 

YHC then started leading the PAX towards the pavilion, but we did not want to disturb our homeless friend, so we went to the playground instead.  At the wall we performed some high/low planks. In cadence we went from both hands on the wall to both hands on the ground. Knocked out 20 of these.  We then switched to doing some bulgarian split squats. 10 on the right, 10 on the left, 10 on the right, and then 10 more on the left.

 

PAX then partnered up for a hanging dora.  One partner would dead hang while the other partner knocked out reps, switching when fatigued.  In total pairs were supposed to complete 60 burpees, 120 merkins, and 180 squats. With about 5 minutes left YHC called a stop to get in some Mary.
