Sixteen Pax gathered on a perfect fall morning for some more quality time with Major Payne and his damn sandbags. Here”s what we did:
Warm up: 30 x SSH, 16 x Imperial Walkers, 10 x arm circles front and rear, 10 x mountain climbers and 10 x in-cadence Merkins.
The Thang:
Modified Dora/Murph on a cool, clear beautiful morning in the Gloom. Teams of 2 pax worked together to reach cumulative exercise goals of 50, 100, 200, and 300 reps.
First, we moseyed to the covered garage and partnered up where each team knocked out a total of 50 pull-ups. Then we moseyed back to the Pavilion and picked up a sandbag per team.
Pax 1 executed as many reps as possible while Pax 2 ran the Pavilion perimeter. Flapjack until team reached the goal. Exercises were a top-to-bottom of body progression: 100 Derkins per team (chest: feet on benches with sand bag on top), 200 LBCs per team (core: sand bag held above chest), 300 squats per team (legs: sand bag on shoulders).
Then we proceeded to Brookgreen Dr. where we executed 5 x 100m (-ish) hill sprints. Excellent effort by all to push as hard as possible.
Moseyed back to the Pavilion, gathering sand bags along the way, where we had 2 great minutes of Mary: 15 x low dolly; 15 x high dolly; 10 x flutter kick.
It was a top-notch Q this morning by Major Payne. Great job!
