Introduction: Haven’t Q’d a non-Sunnyside site in forever – injured off and on in 2018 so have been hesitant to sign up for a bunch of Q’s and then have to give them away later. Anyway, butt (how humiliating) is holding up so far, so thought I’d get cracking on a new adventure for 2019: Pathfinder Endure and the 50 mile Star Course later this Spring. As Basecamp was hurting for a Q with all the hardcore regulars otherwise engaged, I thought I’d sneak in and grab some Pathfinder miles and hopefully at least a few Pax would jump in. My wife has been “ruck-curious”, and when Ms. Rambler (the lovely “Treble”) signed on last night, this seemed the perfect opportunity for “Psych” to see what all the fuss was about.
The thang: We warmed up on the roads a bit, and then as daylight began to creep through the gloom we ventured onto the trails. No injuries thankfully. Mumblechatter abounded, and Nacho was treated to the Tales of the BC Beaver colony – thought he should be up to speed. We got in 5.92 miles. A quick spin around the parking lot got the mileage over 6.
COT: Announcements: don’t forget 2nd F at the BC THBB on Monday night.
BOM/W: Having women on board today made things fun. My M seemed to enjoy herself, and having another woman rucking made her more comfortable. I challenged everyone to take the energy they gained from this group therapy and invest it back into their families this weekend. Aye!
