Ramp it Up

July 9, 2019

WHEN: 07/09/2019
QIC: Subprime
PAX: Gordo, Champ, Beano, Nelly, Juco, Sweats, Homes, Appomattox, Kevin, FNG 23andme, FNG Scholar, Draper, Sidecar, Cheesesteak, Shake It, Pink, Vandelay, Wuerffel,

20 PAX including 2 FNG’s showed up on another humid morning with temperatures above 70 degrees. I promised we would find a few hills and we didn’t wait long to hit the first one.

Warmup: 1 lap, SSH, Squats, Willie Mays Hayes, high knees, butt kickers

The Thang:

Mosey through the new soccer/lacrosse stadium to the new turf ramp located outside the new football practice facility. Line up in rows of 4-5 PAX for 10 trips up the ramp. 1st 2 are slower for warmup. #3, #6 and #9 are run backwards. The rest push it more and more each time.

Mosey across campus to the corner of Rosemary and Hillsborough. Hillsborough Rd is one of the toughest hills in Chapel Hill. Some steep pitches with enough length that it is sucky ever time you run it. The PAX ran to the bottom of Hillsborough and back up to the same intersection. Then, run back down Hillsborough but PAX were given the option to go halfway down or all the way down based on how the humidity was affecting them.

Mosey back to Hooker fields. No time for Mary.

Welcome 2 FNG’s that Juco brought out: Scholar and 23andme
