R E S P E C T, finally…

March 2, 2020

WHEN: 03/02/2020
QIC: Magellan
PAX: Shake It, Blanch, Nookie, Toolbox, Frozen Peas, Chowdah, Fresh Prince, Funny Money, Happy Trees, Iggy Peck

Early on a crisp and vigorous Monday morning, the PAX rolled in slowly one by one. Some were still sleepy, a few stayed home (not to name names Carlton and Green Egg but we know fatherhood is a demanding gig and often a convenient excuse when the alarm sounds), one was late and had to tie his shoes but by 5:32 it was time to move. YHC is now of an advanced age and has no time to waste! 50 side shuffle hops later bones were warmed and mumble chatter high so off we went.

Warm up:

50 SSH

10 WMH

10 IW

15 Overhead Claps

15 Slow Merkins

20 seconds independent stretch

Mosey to soccer field at the back of the school

The Thang:

We gathered in one corner of the soccer field where we did exercises in cadence with various modes of travel along the goal lines and a 100 yard dash along the sidelines. At each corner the PAX would do a different exercise until we completed two full laps around the field.

First Lap:
First corner: 20 Mountain climbers

Lunge walk to next corner

50 Air Squats

Sprint to next corner

20 Cadence count Pickle Pounders

Bear Crawl to next corner

20 Cadence count Monkey Humpers

Sprint to starting point

2nd Lap:

20 single count Merkins

Karaoke to next corner

20 Cadence count reverse lunge

Sprint to next corner

20 Shoulder taps

Backwards run to next corner

20 Cadence count flutter kicks

Sprint to starting point

15 single count merkins

We then finished at the soccer field and it was time for some straight up cardio. We ran together around the rest of the campus and up a side street back around to the main entrance. YHC was a little devious in knowing this particular direction around campus involved mostly a long, slow, constant, uphill grade but it was a crisp Monday morning after all so why not?! We circled around to the main entrance of the school which happens to have the perfect wall for PAX to practice a little Peoples Chair and Balls to the Wall. So we did.

10 count per PAX People’s Chair

5 Count per PAX Balls to the Wall

It was now time for some Mary.

20 Cadence count Box Cutters

30 LBCs

And, as if it had all been a blissful dream, it had to come to an end at 6:15.

I would also be seriously remiss if I did not give a huge shout out to Happy Trees and Iggy Peck who have been on the IR but still post to walk or ruck and rejoin the ME PAX for limited Mary and COT. Way to embody the F3 spirit, set a strong example, and not go MIA on the PAX. Truly inspirational.

Prayer requests for YHCs brother and sister in law who are expecting their first child any second and all PAX on the IR and working their way back to health. Those currently unable to post are missed.

YHC had to say 50 for the first time out loud during name o rama but finally got some respect! Great start to the week and a new chapter!!
