Q 2/3 rounding the Northern Province Nips. Yesterday was YHC’s birthday so this serves as the classic B-day Q. Working to stretch my Q-leadership and arriving to 2 FNGs I made some pivots on the plan. Which may have been apparent to those Pax with me in the gloom.
Warmup: Fellowship lap (parking lot), IW IC x 37, Abe Vigoda IC x 10, WMH IC x 10, LBAC forward IC x 10, reverse IC x 6…a few Q counting gaffes here.
Thang: Mosey to brick wall behind the school. Peoples chair x 37 seconds (thanks to suggestion from Nickelback), BTTW x 37 seconds. Rinse and repeat. Mosey to shovel flag for Chumbaburpees (SSH and 27 burpees (1 at each “I get knocked down…”). This is a YHC favorite and a bit of an unplanned pivot to introduce to our FNGs. Mosey to front of Orange High. Kept the speaker out for free Pandora (classic rock channel). Seems to fit the free workout led by a nonprofessional. Used benches to do intervals of 37 sec step ups, 37 sec dips. Rinse and repeat. Move to 37 sec “box jumps” on bench x 2 rounds. Circle up for 20 monkey humpers IC (cause it just felt like the right thing to do on Hump Day), alt shoulder taps IC x 20. Mosey back to flag for 6-count burpee (not 5 count as Cortes pointed out) x 10 cause we needed that many more for 37 total.

NMS: An area of growth as a Q is in naming Pax which I fumbled a few. Glad to see some FNGs in the gloom! Welcome Bush League who’s favorite soccer team is one of the B squads in Europe and Juice who has a dog named Ringo who was a Beatle and then Beetlejuice…a few layers. I guess it fits with the somewhat rando pearls in the Q 🙂
