OCL Elevator to Kick Off Oktoberfest

If you can’t do it, don’t Q it.    Keeping this in mind YHC planned the workout.   Running is not one of YHC’s favorite exercises.    During a running evolution if the PAX hear a plodding, gasping, rattling, coughing sound (kind of like an Old Ford Pinto trying to climb a step hill) that would be YHC.    Rather than try to tailor workouts that don’t incorporate running, YHC adds running into the workouts.   Why?   Well, part of the Philosophy, The Standard, The Code, The Ethos is one of Self Improvement.   Running is difficult for YHC, so YHC will work to get better at it, while taking inspiration from the PAX running alongside (or usually far ahead).   This is Master Q #11/25.

YHC was remiss in mentioning this factoid this morning.   On this day in 1810, the first Oktoberfest has held when the Bavarian royal family invited the people of Munich to join in the marriage celebration of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.  Part of this celebration was a giant horse race so this was also taken into account in today’s workout as the PAX did quite a few laps around the AO track.

ME:

Fairly simple concept on the Main Event this morning.  Run 1/2 way around the school (AO) perform the first exercise, Run 1/2 way around the school (AO) perform the 2nd exercise and 1st etc.   All the way up to 7.   Here is how the Oktoberfest Racehorse went:

2: MTN Climbersx15 IC, SSHx20 IC.
3: Merkinsx x10 IC, MTN Climbersx15 IC, SSHx20 IC.
4: Monkey Humpers x 10 IC, Merkinsx x10 IC, MTN Climbersx15 IC, SSHx20 IC.
5. Slow Body Weight Squats x 10 IC, Monkey Humpers x 10IC, Merkinsx x10 IC, MTN Climbersx15 IC, SSHx20 IC.
6. Flutter Kicksx20IC, Slow Body Weight Squats x 10IC, Monkey Humpers x 10IC, Merkinsx x10 IC, MTN Climbersx15 IC, SSHx20 IC.
