8 PAX posted at the very clean and trash-free Parkwood Elementary this morning. On Saturday, the F3SoDu crew did a little service project and picked up all the trash around the campus as a way to give back. It looked great (in the dark).

YHC had left a cryptic message on the Slack channel that not only would PAX be working on physical fitness today, but they also needed to bring their brain. YHC made up 12 index cards with a letter on one side and an alpha numeric code on the other. PAX were asked to draw a card and then were given 30 seconds to memorize everything about it. Then we would do a set of random exercises and PAX were asked to repeat their code. If you failed, you had to do 10 burpees and kept the card. If you passed, you turned your card in for a new one.

At this point, the PAX were asked to repeat their first code. A few failed and did 10 burpees while the other PAX either planked or joined in for “sympathy burpees (totally optional).”

Mosey to Filbert. Draw a new card and memorize. Run around the Filbert lap at 75% max speed. Come back and repeat your new code. Do the penalty burpees if indicated.

Draw a new card and memorize. Go to yellow columns and slalom bear crawl around them to the end. Run the dark part of Filbert and then back to yellow columns. Side shuffle slalom around columns back to start and then repeat your code. Penalty Burpees if indicated.

Mosey to picnic tables and draw a new card and memorize.

At this point some of the guys were showing off with their code knowledge, so I offered a challenge. Memorize 2 cards and give the entire group 20 burpees. Fail to do so and you have to do the 20. WeedNFeed was up for this and took 2 cards. Everyone else got one and 30 seconds spent memorizing.

Mosey back to picnic tables. Repeat your code. Everyone got it….Except WeedNFeed. So he had 20 penalty burpees. Some people did sympathy burpees (fact: YHC did not).

Grab your last card and memorize. Mosey down to the basketball court. While we were cleaning up last Saturday, YHC noted that there were some cement paver blocks just lying around. Everyone grabbed one. They were…..heavy. Very heavy.

Mosey back to the picnic tables for a final round of code repeating. At this point everyone was pretty good at it. Except YHC. So another 10 burpees for me and everyone was nice enough to do some sympathy burpees with Floyd.

Mosey back to the start. Not enough time for Mary so she gets stood up today.

We decided the next cleanup will be at Tobacco Road on 4/27/19. 6-7am workout and 7-8am cleanup at the park and along Scott King Rd. This will be in conjunction with the GR rucking event.
