4 PAX crushed The Falcon’s famous Man-Maker EC and then 18 assembled for a muggy ME in the gloom.

When called to lead recently, YHC has made it a personal mission to keep it simple.  Over the past 3 years, some of the most memorable workouts for me have been the ones with the least complexity.  Like the time Coco made us run a mile, do 100 burpees, run another mile and then do 50 burpees.  Or the time 2-ply had us do 5 burpees, run up half the hill, do 5 more burpees, run to the top, do 5 more burpees – repeato.  (Hmmm…maybe it’s just running and burpees that stick with me)  Or the time Blindside had us repeatedly push/hold/carry heavy things…

Regardless, that was YHC’s mindset as today’s plan was formulated.  So YHC put pencil to paper, mapped out a plan and then did the math to make sure the PAX got their money’s worth.   Honestly, YHC was a little disappointed at the “grand” total rep-wise, but decided to proceed because the journey was were the real treasure was buried.  Plus, if we finished really early, YHC could just call out “GET THOSE WEIGHTS OVER YOUR HEAD!” until the clock struck 6:15.

Warm-up

Warm-up jog the long way around to the bottom parking lot.

ME

PAX spread out along one curb facing uphill.  Bear crawl to the other curb, complete 1 merkin, Crawl bear back to starting curb, complete 2 merkins, repeato until reach 10 merkins.

Mosey to top half of the hill, above traffic circle.  Backwards run to the top, 1 squat jump, forward run down, 2 squat jumps, repeato until reach 10 squat jumps.

Back to bottom lot.  PAX line up on opposite curb.  Bear crawl down hill, 10 merkins, Crawl bear uphill, 9 merkins, repeato until reach 1 merkin

Back to hill.  Running low on time so, 5 squat jumps, backwards run to top, 4 squat jumps, forward run down, repeato until 1 squat jump.

Mosey back to the top for a 6-inch hold for Mary.

All told, we got in 110 merkins & 70 jump squats for the ME, but it felt like so much more.
