The Thang

A repeat of the first workout posted to The Thicket Slack channel back in March when F3 Churham workouts went virtual, it’s an escalator workout I stole from Chum, who stole it from Grunge, who stole it from who knows who.  Remembering it took me >50 minutes to complete this workout back in March, YHC knew we wouldn’t get all the way through but figured we’d do the best we could.

Run a lap around the parking lot after each round.  Each round adds a new exercise in addition to the previous (1, run, 1-2, run, 1-2-3, run, etc.) Rounds:

  1. 5 Burpees
  2. 10 Merkins SC
  3. 15 Hello Dolly IC
  4. 20 SSH IC
  5. 25 Squats IC
  6. 30 Gas Pumps SC
  7. 35 OH Claps IC
  8. 40 Mtn Climbers IC
  9. 45 Flutter Kicks IC
  10. 50 Second Plank Hold

We made it through 8 rounds before running out of time.

Mary

Since we didn’t get to Rounds 9 and 10 during The Thang, 45 Flutter Kicks IC and 50 Second Plank Hold (performed as 3 ct ring of fire) served as Mary.

COT/BOM

Summer is near, the pandemic is in full effect.  Try to find ways even small ways to get out, keeps the M and 2.0s happy, and keep yourself mentally and emotionally well.  And remember you have your F3 brothers here if you need them.

Moleskin

There appears to be no good way to call single count Gas Pumps, and it’s not for our lack of trying—mental note that Gas Pumps should only be performed in cadence going forward.

Good to see Chum’s son Huffy back out for more after his first post last Friday.
