Good Ole Fashioned Pine

July 27, 2018

WHEN: 07/26/2018
QIC: Toolbox
PAX: Holmes, Marcus, Gertrude, One Dimension, Snots, Draper, Moore, Paperboy, Grunge, Mater, Uzi, Slumdog, Toolbox, Fingers, Cousin Vinny, Pleather

Today we met at Fresh Market Chapel Hill and went for a 5.4mile run up Raleigh Road, made a right onto Country Club, took Boundary across Franklin Street, and made our way from Rosemary, Glenburnie, Tenney to Lone Pine Road.  Twice down and up Lone Pine meant that we needed to get our butts back to home base in time for COT.

YHC had thoughts of just covering miles for today’s workout and visiting Ghimgoul castle as a scenic tour, but that will have to be saved for another day.  The pine was a callin’ and there was so much enthusiasm from the PAX that YHC had to acquiesce and call for a double pine.  (you guys can thank Uzi; he insisted it be a double)

We started with 16 PAX and one ended up deciding to rest.  Everyone pushed hard and made the run a success by sticking together, picking up the six at various points throughout the route.

One thing we can do a better job with is reflective gear.  I admit that I need to get myself some gear.  It’s dangerous out there and drivers are not on the lookout.

Thanks for showing up, fellas.  I am always more motivated and inspired when I come out and post for a workout.  I’m extremely thankful for the community that F3 consists of in Churham.   I appreciate the opportunity to serve and lead you guys today.  Always an honor.
