Escalating Escalator

November 28, 2018

WHEN: 11/28/2018
QIC: Chum
PAX: Magellan, Wilson Wilson, Crab Cake, Richard Simmons, Funny Money, Soybean, Princess Cut (Respect!), Tater Tot, and Chum

First we had the #bc-takeover.  Then YHC had the Q last week.  And then Soda reached out and asked if I could sub in for him.  So, three weeks in a row for a Chatham chucklehead to Q Hurricanrana.  I hope the men weren’t too fed up by now.  And, well, if they weren’t, I then stated that I had an idea for a workout that I hadn’t tested yet and requested that the guys be the proverbial guinea pigs.  And of course, they obliged, because that’s what the awesome Durham brethren do.

Main Event

The Escalating Escalator

  • Round 1: 5 Burpees. Take a lap around the quad.
  • Round 2: 10 Burpees. 10 (IC) Overhead Claps. Take a lap.
  • Round 3: 15 Burpees. 15 (IC) Overhead Claps. 15 (IC) Merkins.  Take a lap.
  • Round 4: 20 Burpees. 20 (IC) Overhead Claps. 20 (IC) Merkins.  20 (IC) LBC.  Take a lap.
  • Round 5: 25 Burpees. 25 (IC) Overhead Claps. 25 (IC) Merkins.  25 (IC) LBC. 25 (IC) Squats.  Take a lap.

Note: I’m pretty sure that I did the overwhelming majority of the merkins at this point on my knees. Perhaps single-count merkins is a better option.   But, hey, we made it to the top level of the escalator.  Now to get back down –

  • Round 6: 20 (IC) Squats. 20 (IC) LBCs.  20 (SC) Merkins.  20 (IC) Overhead Claps.  Take a lap.
  • Round 7: 15 (IC) Squats. 15 (IC) LBCs. 15 (SC) Merkins.  Take a lap.
  • Round 8: 10 (IC) Squats. 10 (IC) LBCs. Take a lap.
  • Round 9: 5 (IC) Squats.

COT/BOM:

Thank you for the opportunity and for the support today.  I do not take it for granted.  The Durham crew is simply awesome – supportive, great vibe.  It’s always a joy to make the trip north from Chatham County.  Please don’t take the awesomeness that y’all have built for granted.  Have a great rest of the week! Aye!
