Main Event

Block-n-Roll – Greatest Hits

Partner up, mosey to block pile, and secure one block per team.  Move to soccer field and line up along goal line.  Take special care to be cool, as a local women’s fitness group was exercising along the fence around the field.

One partner with block on the goal line performs block exercise; other partner performs movement.  Flapjack and repeat so that each man gets two sets of rock exercise and two sets of movement per round:

  • Round 1:
    • Yanni Merkins (right hand on bock, left hand on ground.  Do a merkin.  Move right hand to ground and left to bock.  Do a merkin.  Continue in alternating fashion).
    • Bear Crawl to midfield & sprint back
    • Repeat
  • Round 2:
    • Blockees (Hold block.  Drop down burpee-style.  Merkin with hands on block.  Return to standing position, and clean & press block)
    • Lunge Walk to midfield & sprint back.
    • Repeat
  • Round 3:
    • Curls with block.
    • Crab Walk to midfield & sprint back.
    • Repeat
  • Round 4:
    • Squats with block.
    • Crawl Bear to midfield & sprint back.
    • Repeat
  • Round 5:
    • Overhead Press with block.
    • Backwards run to midfield & sprint back.
    • Repeat

Return blocks to pile.

COT/BOM

I am grateful for the opportunity and for the men’s support today.  I do not take it granted.  To build upon Rambler’s message from last week, take advantage of 2nd F opportunities outside of the fellowship we receive during the workouts.  YHC had the pleasure to take several F3 brothers fishing this weekend.  Such an opportunity may not have presented itself without F3.  Building new friendships is one of the best things about this group, and it’s certainly something that I’m very grateful for and do not take for granted.  Have a great week – Aye!

Welcome, FNG Splashback!  Naming origin: Fieri & Yanni know Splashback from Y Guides.  Fieri told a story where, during a Y Guide camping trip, Splashback was tasked with discarding some uneaten franks and beans.  Rather than simply dumping it in the woods, Splashback dumped it in a toilet………and there was significant “splashback”.
